Tasting Notes
Bright with deep violet hues, the 2013 Silent Partner exudes ripe aromas of raspberries, blackberries and cherries with hints of mint, coconut and sweet toffee. Sophisticated and refined on the palate, the youthful silky tannins provide the backbone for the dark cherry fruit, intense mocha flavours and baking spices that lead to a rich, harmonious finish.

Winemaker Notes
Cabernet Sauvignon, due to its small berry size can often be rather astringent in tannin and can have characters described as leafy and green. Fermented in open tanks with gentle pump overs for 10 days, then basket pressed and transferred to the best ultra fine-grained French Oak barrels available, to graciously age for 24 months reduces the astringency and lifts the fruit while eliminating many of the green characters.
