MGO KING Shiraz is the result of a deliberate commitment to quality. This wine has spent ten years maturing: five years in oak barrels and five years in bottle. Few wineries anywhere in the world take on this kind of investment, with only a handful of producers – like Spain's Vega Sicilia Unico—following a similar path.

Quality and Depth

Five years in barrel creates depth and structure that simply cannot be rushed. The following five years in bottle allow the oak and fruit flavours to settle and blend together, creating a smooth, refined wine. Most young Shiraz can be harsh and tannic; our approach gives this wine time to become balanced and approachable.

The result is a rich, smooth wine with vibrant fruit and a fresh finish – qualities that set it apart.

Rare and Limited

We produce only a few hundred bottles of each vintage. During the long aging process, roughly 100 bottles are lost to evaporation – the "angel's share." This leaves approximately 300 bottles for our collectors. This is a wine made in very small quantities, for those who value patience and quality.
